If Kanye West is really serious about running for office in 2020 it would behoove him to get some advice from someone who has stood tall in the political landscape. Someone who has seen it all, in the words of Jeezy. Someone like fellow Chicago native and sitting president, Barack Obama. 'Ye got his chance earlier today at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco. Taking place at the Warfield Theater, 1,300 Democratic National Committee supporters packed into the venue to see Potus talk and watch Ye perform, reportedly paying from $250 to $10,000 per head.

While at the mic, Obama entertained West's possible run and offered advice for his campaign, sprinkled in with some jokes. "Couldn't get any stranger, but in case Kanye's serious about this whole POTUS thing or, as he calls it, Peezy, I do have advice for him," Obama said. "First of all, you've got to spend a lot of time with some strange characters who behave like they're on a reality TV show. You've got to be cool with that. Second, saying that you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy? That's what's known as off-message in politics. You can't say something like that. And number three, do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago [with a] funny name?"

West later hit the stage and performed a set of his hits including "Power," "Black Skinhead" "Only One" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing." No word on whether he was spotted taking notes during Potus' speech. Watch footage from West's set below.
