The roof, the roof, the roof was on fire at Snoop Dogg's recent birthday shindig, literally. The West Coast legend was holding a birthday event at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday (Oct. 16) when things started to heat up and get smoky at the venue. But not the type of smoke Snoop has an affinity for.

According to TMZ, everything was going fine until around 11:30 pm when a decorative chandelier caught fire and burst in flames. Instead of chanting "let that MF burn!" the 600 or so people in attendance hightailed it to the exits. The party was then canceled. Snoop was just about to grace the stage when fire broke out, which was reportedly caused by Halloween decorations on the ceiling overheating. The club's sprinkler system marginalized the damage.

Snoop's actually birthday is Oct. 20, when the rapper will turn the big 4-4. But it looks like the Doggfather is going in all week. The party will be rescheduled. Snoop has another birthday celebration planned for Oct. 19 at the Argyle in Los Angeles.
