Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" is one of the biggest songs that came out within the last few years. The infections ballad took a then-unknown Patterson, N.J. product into a XXL Freshman and the next hip-hop star. The song peaked at No. 2 the Billboard Hot 100, helping his debut self-titled album land the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The LP dropped on Sept. 25 via RGF/300 Entertainment and sold 129,000 copies in its first week.

Prior to dropping his debut offering, the Paterson, N.J native saw success on the charts with four of his popular singles. Fetty landed four top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Trap Queen,” which peaked at No. 2, “679,” which came in at No. 6, “My Way” at No. 7 and “Again” at No. 8. The Remy Boyz leader is the first hip-hop artist to have their debut hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since 2012. The last rapper to do so was A$AP Rocky, whose Long.Live.A$AP project hit No. 1 on Feb. 2, having sold 138,000 copies in its first week.

It's pretty clear what sparked this magical run from Fetty was "Trap Queen."
