The mid-2000s are having quite a year. T-Pain, the Autotune chart savant who many undoubtedly thought would be a relic of his era, has made a stunning comeback, with an album still on the way for the fourth quarter. Kanye West is touring off of 808s & Heartbreak; T.I. is rapping like his life depends on it; Hurricane Chris just dropped one of the year's best mixtapes. And to cap it all off, we're finally getting what we've been waiting for all this time: the new DJ Khaled album. The eccentric Miami DJ announced today (Oct. 12) that his eighth album, I Changed a Lot, will arrive next Friday, Oct. 23. The pre-orders will go up on iTunes' most powerful servers tonight, complete with links to the album's lead singles. That's right, plural--Khaled is teasing two songs, the Fetty Wap-, Chris Brown- and August Alsina-led "Gold Slugs" and "You Mine," which will feature Future, Jeremih and Trey Songz.

Earlier this year, Khaled announced that he'd be taking his imprint, We The Best, to Sony, leaving his previous home at Cash Money. The news was mostly lost in the din of Lil Wayne-vs-Birdman drama, but could prove to be a shrewd business decision as that label's red tape continues to unfurl in different directions. Khaled signed with Cash Money in 2011 and released three albums in three years, culminating in 2013's Suffering From Success. Since he first started curating hits on 2006's Listennn... The Album, Khaled has been responsible for connecting some of rap and R&B's biggest stars, being a favorite collaborator of many of the genre's heaviest hitters.
