Curren$y has announced the new release date for his new album. Canal Street Confidential officially drops Dec. 4. Back in August, the Jet Life founder originally announced that the LP would hit shelves Nov. 6. The project is led by the August Alsina and Lil Wayne-assisted single, "Bottle of the Bottle," which dropped just as the summer came to an end. Spitta, Alsina and Weezy are currently working on the music video for the track.The NOLA native explained how he approached his latest solo effort. "This time, I really sat there with an open mind, listened and worked with a lot of people," said Curren$y. "Everybody loves my normal spacey, slower stuff, but when I do more up-tempo records, it’s a change of pace. I wanted to transfer that and reflect it in the album."

Canal Street Confidential follows his last album, Pilot Talk IIIwhich dropped in April of this year. A number of projects were released with 2015 in addition to Pilot Talk III, including Cathedral, which dropped in August. Before Cathedral was Even More Saturday Night Car Tunes, the third installment to the series, preceded by More Saturday Night Car Tunes and Saturday Night Car Tunes. Andretti and Wiz Khalifa have been teasing a collaborative project they call 2009. There’s no word on a release date for the joint venture. They released a handleful of tracks off the forthcoming project, including “Weed Naps” with SAYITAINTTONE and “Uber Driver.”
