Drake’s influence within the city of Toronto is irrefutable.

Last night (Sept. 21), the Toronto Symphony Orchestra paid homage to the city’s native son with their own rendition of Drake’s “Know Yourself” at the Polaris Music Prize gala. Toronto councilor and Drake enthusiast, Norm Kelly, introduced the performance at the annual Canadian award show. Although Drake was not in attendance, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) captured footage of the mostly-string-section infused version of “Know Yourself.”

The If You're Reading This It's Too Late track was originally produced by Boi-1da, Vinylz and Syk Sense. It was written by Drake and Quentin Miller, among others.—Chris Harris
