Today, Sept. 11, marks the birthday of Chris Bridges, better known to the hip-hop world as Ludacris. Luda is now 41.

The Atlanta rapper has enjoyed one of the most diverse and successful careers in hip-hop history. As one of the most influential rappers from the Dirty South, Ludacris has sold millions of records, given fans classics like "Roll Out," "Area Codes" and "Move Bitch," had three albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and won three Grammy Awards in his career. His latest musical release was in 2015, when Luda dropped his ninth studio album, Ludaversal.

Aside from music, Luda has also flourished as a successful actor appearing in films such as the Fast & Furious series, Hustle & Flow and the Oscar-winning movie Crash.

Ludacris has also gotten his foot in the door of the hosting world, namely for award shows big and small in the last few years. Last May, Luda began hosting MTV's reboot of Fear Factor, forcing contestants into strange, uncomfortable or gross situations according to the reality show's premise.

Happy Birthday, Luda!
