Kanye West brought the bass and emo rap to Los Angeles with his performance of his fourth album 808s & Heartbreak at the Hollywood Bowl. The show went down as scheduled with 'Ye pulling out all the stops, utilizing extravagant sets, lots of extras, and of course sporting new Yeezy Season threads. For one song, West rocked a puffy tan body suit, complete with matching mask. Kid Cudi, Mr. Hudson, Lil Wayne and Jeezy were slated to make cameos on stage and helped out with the tracks they are featured on. Of course, TeamKanyeDaily was able to track down the beautiful bean footage.

808s & Heartbreak, was released on November 24, 2008 and basically became a staple of the emo rap sub genre. The entire album was produced by West, No I.D., Jeff Bhasker, Mr. Hudson and Plain Pat. The project debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart, moving 450,145 copies in its first week. Pushed by the bass and auto-tune heavy medleys like “Love Lockdown,” “Heartless,” “Amazing” featuring Jeezy and “Paranoid,” the album went on to sell over 1.7 million copies in the United States.

Initially scheduled for a one-night only show, West has extended the show for another day and will have an encore performance tonight (Sept. 26). This is trip down memory lane is cool and all, but we need Swish sooner than later.
