Yasiin Bey will add another chapter to his storied career when he makes his stand-up comedy debut tonight (Aug. 4) in Montreal, Canada. The artist formerly known as Mos Def will before at Montreal's Phi Centre as part of the "Happy Birthday! Shut Up" show. Along with Bey, producer/DJ Kaytranada will also perform. For more information and tickets check out the official Facebook event page here.

Yasiin Bey is no stranger to the comedy world. During Dave Chappelle's hey-day, the artist popped up on Chappelle's Show both as a musician and as a bit actor. Mos had one of the show's best musical performances when he freestyled in Dave's whip while they cruised the boulevard. Mos also joined Kanye West and Freeway for an epic performance of "Two Words," the trio's collab from Ye's The College Dropout. As an actor, Mighty Mos popped up in classic skits like "The World's Greatest Wars," the "Racial Draft" and "Black Bush." If these skits are any indication, tonight's show in Canada should be hilarious.
