Yasiin Bey's stand-up comedy career started in earnest at the Phi Centre in Montreal, Canada this week. MTLiens were on the scene to catch the performance and posted a few clips on thei rYouTube page and from the looks of it, Bey has a future in the stand-up game. The multitalented performer spoke on the Meek Mill vs. Drake beef saying "The male ego is a boring place" and cracked jokes about Kanye West's amazing mic drop at the Pan American Games finale. The rapper/actor/stand-up comedian also spoke on how it's been his dream to be a comedian "My dream had been to do stand-up comedy, and I’m sitting down," he said. "Don’t I look like I’m living my dream? I’m here living my dream, and I look like Tyler on the cover of that album."

Yasiin Bey is no stranger to the comedy world. During Dave Chappelle’s hey-day, the artist popped up on Chappelle’s Show both as a musician and as a bit actor. Mos had one of the show’s best musical performances when he freestyled in Dave’s whip while they cruised the boulevard. Mos also joined Kanye West and Freeway for an epic performance of “Two Words,” the trio’s collab from Ye’s The College Dropout. As an actor, Mighty Mos popped up in classic skits like “The World’s Greatest Wars,” the “Racial Draft” and “Black Bush.” If these skits are any indication, tonight’s show in Canada should be hilarious.
