With the Straight Outta Compton biopic release right around the corner, Beats came up with a genius idea in efforts to promote the film, by creating a #StraightOutta social movement. When you search the hashtag #straightoutta you will see personalized versions of the biopic's logo, replacing Compton with whatever city the Instagram user reps. Everyone from French Montana to Ty Dolla $ign and YG have joined in on the craze and it seems to only be the beginning.

The promo campaign was crafted in efforts to hype up anticipation for the Straight Outta Compton film and support Dr. Dre, one of the co-founders and the namesake behind Beats by Dr. Dre, which hits theaters August 14. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the movie chronicles the rise of Compton bred rap group, N.W.A. Named after the group's debut album, the movie traces the movement that birthed Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella and MC Ren.
