Brooklyn rapper Sean Price has passed away at the age of 43, according to multiple reports. Details on the death are scarce, but people close to the rapper have rushed to social media posting about the sad news. According to one report, he might have died in his sleep. Hip-hop artists like DJ Premier, 9th Wonder and Immortal Technique took to Twitter to express their condolences for the late rapper.

Price was an original member of the group Heltah Skeltah along with Jahmal "Rock" Bush in the early '90s. The two would later join the super group Boot Camp Clik along with Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun and O.G.C. Price continued a heavy presence in the rap scene up until his untimely death. Known for his graphic and straight forward rap style, he was also part of the group Random Axe with Black Milk and Guilty Simpson who released their self-titled album back in 2011. He was working on a Heltah Skeltah comeback album at the time of his passing as well as a new mixtape entitled Songs in the Key of Price. His final solo project was Mic Tyson in 2012.
