Canadian MC Shane Redway was recently killed in a car crash in Toronto. According to the Toronto Star, on Saturday (Aug. 1) around 4 a.m. a vehicle carrying Redway and two other individuals veered off the Highway 427 northbound ramp, hit a guardrail then burst into flames. Redway and another passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was taken to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

“Redway was known for being a passionate artist who was always striving for greatness, pushing the boundaries of always believing in your visions and dreams which led to the creation of the BLVD (The Belief Leading Visions & Dreams),” his management company Champ Managment said in a statement.

Fellow T Dot rapper Drake recently took to social media after hearing of the death and expressed his condolences. Posting a picture of the late rapper Drizzy typed, "Gone way too soon. Just saw this guy yesterday at Bounce. RIP Redway."

Aubrey later followed up with another photo in remembrance of Redway along with the caption. "Should have told you yesterday I was proud of what we had both done for our city over these years and I didn't cause there were too many chairs and too many people in the way. A lesson to anybody second guessing. Rest easy king."

Canadian beat maker Wondagurl also took to social media to speak on the loss typing, "Lost my brother today. Life is crazy."
