Footage of Nicki Minaj visiting the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia last week with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation was posted on Facebook recently. The visit was extremely sweet. During her time with the patients, Nicki talked about her favorite sports as a kid, what she love to do for fun and her favorite pizza toppings, as well as how the Young Money rapper got her start in the game.

Nicki shared with the children that she originally wanted to be an actress, more specifically, a soap opera star. When she realized she liked rapping, she started penning her own rhymes. Her first rhyme ever was, "Cookie's the name, chocolate chip is the flavor/Suck up my style's like the cherry life saver."

The best part of the video is around the 4:30 mark when one young girl takes the mic to show off her vocal skills. Nicki encouraged the kids interested in a career in the arts to push themselves but don't forget about your education.

"You guys have to make sure that it's really what you want to do and that you're not doing it for any other reasons, [and] this is your passion," she said. "And if it's really your passion, then go for it. But, stay in school. Don't ever think that it's a guarantee that you'll make it at anything the arts. Do your art, but also do your education as well. I think it's important for girls to be very hands on with whatever they do. Be in charge. Take control. Lead your own destiny."
