Kanye West may be the host of next year's Video Music Awards. TMZ reports that MTV loved Kanye's 12-minute speech after he accepted his Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs last night (Aug. 30). During the speech, which you can read the transcript in full here, 'Ye calls out MTV, sticks up for artists and declares he's running to be President in 2020. After Kanye walked offstage to his dressing room, MTV top executives followed him and gushed about his acceptance speech. Kanye was originally allotted only two minutes but wasn't cut off because the speech was very entertaining. This year's host was Miley Cyrus, who some people wasn't feeling.

"This is a new mentality," said Kanye last night. "We not gonna control our kids with brands. We not going to teach hate to our kids. We’re going to teach our kids that they can be something, that they can believe in themselves. If my grandfather was here right now, he would not let me back down. I don’t know what I finna lose after this. It don’t matter though, because it’ snot about me. It’s about ides, bro, new ideas, people with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.”
