This week marks the ten-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and Lil Wayne will donate portions of proceeds from his highly-anticipated Lil WeezyAna Fest to Tha Carter Fund. Weezy's chartiable efforts are certainly commendable. When Katrina hit in '05, Weezy raised money and donated to relief efforts and later rebuilt a skatepark in the city. Tha Carter Fund supports after school programs set up for underprivileged kids.

The festival will take place this Friday (Aug. 28) at Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square in New Orleans. The one-day only event will feature a confirmed Hot Boys reunion as Juvenile, Turk and Mannie Fresh will join the multiplatinum rapper on stage. Considering Weezy doesn't get the opportunity to perform in his backyard as often as he would like, expect him to pull out all the stops for a huge show. Those who cannot make the concert will be able to stream the concert via TIDAL X.

Earlier today (Aug. 24), the rapper made an appearance on ESPN's First Take to discuss news worthy stories from around the sports world. Wayne left people scratching their heads when he predicted that the Lakers (who are coming off of a 21-61 season)will make the playoffs this upcoming season. When asked about New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his current "Deflategate" situation, Wayne gave an answer that made sense to him, but no one else. Peep the video below:
