Kanye West Promises Free Yeezys if He’s Elected President

Kanye West's announcement that he is running for president in 2020 at the 2015 MTV VMAs sent shockwaves through the media world and his current campaign goal is pretty simple: Free Yeezy sneakers for all. While leaving a VMAs after party, Ye, his wife and Kendall Jenner were mobbed by paparazzi who wanted a comment from Yeezy on his announcement. The pop culture icon made his way to the car without saying much except that one of his first orders of business would be to bless every one in America with a new pair of Yeezy's as soon as he stepped foot in the oval office. We like the sound of that.

Elsewhere on the Kanye 4 Prez front, a Political Action Committee (PAC) has been formed just in case Kanye is serious about his campaign. As you can imagine, the process necessary to run for president is lengthy but according to Bloomberg, one step is already out of the way. "Ready For Kanye," a newly formed PAC out of Maryland, has submitted its statement of organization to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). A PAC is an organization that collects campaign contributions (money) from its members and donates the funds to campaign for or against candidates, ballot initiatives or legislation. The report also says that news of Kanye's intentions has reached the White House as Presidential press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters during President Obama's trip to Alaska, "I look forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."
