Grand opening...

Jay Z famously shunned Instagram on the track "Somewhereinamerica" off his album Magna Carta Holy Grail rapping, "I aint even into that/When I was talking Instagram, the last thing you wanted was your picture snapped." But, finally, after years of being stubborn, Jigga finally joined IG. And like that, he was gone.

Last night, Hova finally got hip to the 'Gram creating the account HovSince96. Shortly afterward he posted a single photo. A Throwback Thursday of sorts that shows him and Michael Jackson embracing at Summer Jam. He captioned the photo, “Happy Birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post.” Yesterday, of course was the birthday of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson who would have turned 57. A short time later, the rap mogul stayed true to his word 86ing the entire account.

So Sean was almost sucked in by the absolute greatness that is Instagram but was able to shake off his trance at the last minute only posting a single picture of homage. Jay needs to stop BSn and sign up for real because IG really is the shet, whether you are looking for plump onion booties or the next kid rapping sensation. There are dozens of rappers with entertaining accounts (lets face it, if you arent following Plies, why are you on IG?). Then sometimes people go way overboard. So we guess you have to take the good with the bad. Jay apparently prefers to leave it alone all together.
