After bringing the genre the first album to go platinum with no features in 25 years, it's only right that J. Cole follow-up with a worldwide trek. Last night, the Roc Nation rapper stopped in New Jersey hauling along YG, Big Sean and Jeremih for the 2014 Forest Hills Drive Tour. Housed at the PNC Bank Arts Center, the three rappers and one singer, in true J. Cole fashion, sans guest appearances, packed the arena from top to bottom. The show seemingly went off without a hitch until gunfire blazed during let out, leaving two injured.

YG started the show, and after nearly getting kicked off the US run due to his involvement in the shooting that left him with a punctured hip in June, the Compton rapper made sure to put on a hell of a show. Running through his catalog of hits, mostly songs that appear on his highly esteemed debut, My Krazy Life, YG effortlessly brought the rugged ways of Compton over to serene city of Homdel, NJ. Jeremih kept the flow going and was accompanied by a gang of exotic dancers as he journeyed from his 2009 break-out single, "Birthday Sex" to the present, with chart toppers "Don't Tell Em" and Natalie La Rose's "Somebody."

Big Sean, one of the headliners, took things to a new level when he graced the stage for his one hour set. Decorating the stage with what appeared to be the scenery ripped right from the streets of a hood in Detroit, before his set even ignited, crow-goers knew they were in store for something major. Sean chronicled all the way from 2011's Chris Brown-assisted "My Last" to songs on his 173,000 first week selling new album, Dark Sky Paradise. The GOOD Music signee didn't skimp out on songs from his Kanye led collective either, performing both the "I Don't Like (Remix)" and "Mercy."

J. Cole took the stage at around 9:45p.m., putting on a rarity by actually performing every song on 2014 Forest Hills Drive. He teased that most rappers don't have the guts to perform the full length of their releases not because it's scary, but because their material "sucks." As true fans of the rapper certainly hold his new LP to high standards, the show couldn't go on without at least some of the rapper's classics. The main act of the night must have gotten the hint, as he snuck in classics like "Work Out" and "Lights Please," and even joined Jeremih to perform their new cut "Planes."
