The hip-hop world is still charged up over the Meek Mill vs. Drake beef and now the Funk Volume crew, which consists of rappers like Jarren Benton, Hopsin and Dizzy Wright, is laying down the gauntlet. While up at SiriusXM's studios, the guys chopped it up with the "Sway In the Morning" crew and told them that they are willing to go put their collective up against any other--including Shady Records, Top Dawg Entertainment, Strange Music and Slaughterhouse--in a $500,000 battle. So far, no one has responded to the challenge but the challenge only adds the competitive nature that has reinvigorated the scene.

Earlier this month, Yasiin Bey proposed a similar challenge when he said that he, Black Thought and King Los would take on anyone who stepped to them if Red Bull Music Academy were willing to put up a million dollars to make it happen. "Tired of these dudes pretending like they dope," said Bey. "You alright, but relax...We don't have to make no back and forth corny records about it, we can put it on its feet for the world to see."

It didn't take long for Lupe Fiasco to accept the challenge but nothing has materialized as of yet.
