Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings, who recently said he's been an OVO loyalist for over half the decade, has vacated his social media accounts in an attempt to sidestep the hate from Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj fans.

Jennings told a TMZ reporter that Meek's career was over and that he was "corny." Apparently, the digital backlash was swift and merciless. So, as Baller Alert reports on their Instagram, Jennings nixed his Twitter account. (Apparently, supporters of the touring MCs were clowning a particularly unflattering video of the Compton-bred ballplayer.) Jennings ended his run of tweets with a half-apology and predicted that we'll still be talking about this beef a decade from now. As for the mechanics of the Twitter departure: it seems as if Jennings relinquished his followers and account history to another user with the handle @_blktray. More interestingly, there appears to be a squatter staking out @BrandonJennings.

It looks like the Drake Vs. Meek Mill beef might end up counting as a loss for all involved. One rapper has been raked over the coals for butchering his diss track schedule and generally not being Drake; the other comes out on top in the immediate, but those ghostwriting allegations might simmer in fans' minds for a long while. Most of the rap-listening world has been whipped into a frenzy over NotTweetingDreamsWorthMoreThanMoneyGate, to the point where it's consumed conversations for weeks on end. And now, even famous athletes on what's ostensibly the winning team are taking drastic measures to preserve their sanity.
