Azealia Banks took to Twitter to diss Hot 97, BET and other black media outlets for not supporting Black female artists. "I beg black media publications to stop covering Azealia Banks. You have done the MOST to damage my brand," Banks wrote via Twitter. "Black men are allowed to fuck up, rape people, murder people, have sex with underage people," she said, "and hip-hop will still support their shit."

When a fan told Banks she should do another interview with Hot 97, the Harlem native responded by saying "Why? Them niggas donT even play my music." The "212" MC had a very candid interview with Hot 97 last December where she discussed a plethora of topics such as her beef with T.I. and Iggy Azalea, The Grammys and a lot more. She then continued her lengthy rant about urban media outlets damaging her brand, singling out BET. She also states that non-urban media outlets are the only one inviting her "anywhere to do anything."
