This year’s Afropunk in NYC this past weekend was one of the best festivals of the year. Socialites, venders, fashionistas and artists all converged for a two-day show that combines punk rock and hip-hop while celebrating the black arts and culture. The 11th annual Afropunk Fest was held in Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. 67-year-old Grace Jones—covered in body paint and nothing much else—headlined the first night, which includes stunning performances from Kelis, SZA, and Lauryn Hill.

Lenny Kravitz headlined the second day of the festival, after impressive performances by a pair of two current XXL Freshmen Goldlink and Raury plus Kelela, Thundercat, and many others across Afro's three stages. Check out photos of some of the performers above. Afropunk is heading to Atlanta’s Central Park on October 3 and 4.
