When Action Bronson gets into trouble, it's usually because of his mouth. The hefty Queens native, who this March dropped his debut studio album, Mr. Wonderful, has been protested by social groups in foreign countries, threatened by Wu-Tang legends and raked over the coals by his fellow New Yorkers. But now, it seems the problems are stemming from the other side of the boards. According to TMZ, Bronson is being sued over a pair of samples, both from the revered Puerto Rican salsa group El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. The suit alleges that the rapper's "Mofongo" and "Tapas" sample El Gran Combo's “Falsaria” and “Trampolin," respectively. "Mofongo" appears on Bronson's 2011 debut mixtape, Bon Appetit...Bitch!, while "Tapas" was featured on the next year's breakout effort, Blue Chips. Financial details of the suit are not yet available, but sources say the Puerto Ricans are seeking an injunction to have both songs removed from all streaming services.

Bronson, who admitted in 2011 that he enjoys El Gran Combo's music, has been embroiled in a feud with Ghostface Killah, the rapper to whom he's been most frequently compared. During an interview on ESPN, Bronson suggested that Ghost's music wasn't up to the MC's old standards; Tone, who had previously expressed praise for the younger rapper, dropped a scathing video threat. Later, at the late Sean Price's memorial service in New York, Popa Wu confronted Bronson about his behavior. Fortunately for all parties involved, Manny Phesto is trying to broker a peace.
