The Houston Astros, once perennial contenders out of the NL Central, spent the latter part of the last decade and the first part of his one kicking around the National League's cellar. At first, a move to the American League didn't help too much, but this year has been a breakout for the young squad, and at the All Star break they're only a half-game off the Angels' pace in the AL West. We say all that to say this: Drake isn't making the roster. Sama'an Ashrawi's video from May's Houston Appreciation Weekend is finally available, and it shows Aubrey and comedian Hannibal Buress hitting into a pair of groundouts in a losing effort at the celebrity softball game. Drake was fifth in the lineup and Hannibal, serving as designated hitter (in his words, "a fat man's position) batted tenth. The latter was closer to beating the throw to first, but he might have needed to grab an inhaler after running it out.

Drake decided to forego the media fanfare for his latest album, February's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Despite no advance warning, the set beat single-day records for music streaming giant Spotify. (His marks have since been surpassed by Kendrick Lamar's sophomore effort, To Pimp a Butterfly.) If You're Reading This was later re-released for physical retailers with bonus tracks. Hannibal Buress, a superlatively talented comic from Chicago, found the national spotlight on him after he referred to Bill Cosby as a rapist during a set. Buress now has his own show (Why? with Hannibal Buress) on Comedy Central; he also stars on the same network's Broad City.
