Warren G will be releasing his  EP on Aug. 9.

The EP is a follow up to Warren's 1994 debut album. "I feel real good that I am getting the chance to let people hear a lot of that sound that has been missing [in] hip-hop,” he said while speaking with Billboard "I finally have records that I had in the archives that I put together to let the world hear some of that G Funk that they’ve been missing and wanting to hear for long time."

The EP will featured unreleased audio from the late Nate Dogg. Fans " will be able to hear unreleased songs with me and Nate," said Warren. "They have been asking for years; ever since he passed away and even before he passed away, they wanted music from me and him." Fans haven't heard a new collab between the two since Nate Dogg appeared on Warren's 2009, The G Files. " Other artists featured on Regulate...G Funk Era Pt. II are E-40, Too $hort, Young Jeezy and Bun B. "Guys that I respect a lot in the music business came aboard and collaborated with me on some tracks," he said while explaining why he selected particular artists for the project.

The hip-hop veteran plans to release the first single, "My House," featuring Nate Dogg soon. In support of the forthcoming EP, G will have two shows following its release. The first will be at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Aug 9., followed by a show at  the El Rey Theater in L.A. on Aug. 13.
