With Straight Outta Compton due out in theaters August 14, the film's actors and namesake are beginning their press run and will appear on the upcoming cover of The Hollywood Reporter. The lengthy feature story describes N.W.A.'s history, the script writing process and the long road it took to finally get the film made. While the behind-the-scenes details are quite interesting, a huge bit of news comes at the end. According the story, Donna Langley, the Chairman of Universal Pictures, is planning an N.W.A. reunion tour that would run through Europe with Eminem sitting in for the deceased Eazy-E. "We don't have anything settled yet with everyone's schedules," says Langley. "But we think it can create a lot of buzz." Rumors of an N.W.A. reunion tour have been circulating for the better part of the '00s and the '10s, most notably a 2000 tour with Snoop Dogg stepping in for Eazy, but nothing has ever materialized. With the Straight Outta Compton hitting theaters, this may be the momentum the crew needs to get it done.

The story also touched on Suge Knight's messy hit-and-run case that resulted in the death of Terry Carter. "I was there. But I was just leaving, so I didn't know what happened until I was halfway home," Dre told the magazine. "I heard about it over the phone. Everybody was supportive everywhere we went, and we didn't have one issue throughout the entire filming of the movie. It's crazy that this happened during the fucking filming of the commercial...It's just a really unfortunate incident. Maybe [Knight] was looking for trouble. I don't know."
