The summer months are filled with an abundance of huge indoor and outdoor music festivals ranging from the well known to the obscure. Add one more to the ledger. Billboard is expanding its platform with the newly announced Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival. Taking place at Jones Beach Theater in New York, the event will feature a divergent mix of 40-plus artists. The headliners for the show were recently announced and will include Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, the Weeknd, Skrillex and Justin Bieber.

“The Hot 100 Music Festival will be one of those truly memorable summer concert events. We are very excited to bring fans some of summer 2015’s chart toppers in a venue that will showcase the best these artists have to offer,” says Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino. Others performing at the concert include, 2015 XXL Freshman Fetty Wap, iLoveMakonnen, Kygo, Jason Derulo, American Authors, Betty Who, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Holy Ghost!, Kiesza, Little Mix, Santigold and ZZ Ward.

The concert takes place, on Aug. 22 and 23.

We are knee deep in the middle of festival season, with Hot 97's Summer Jam, Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash, Coachella and SXSW having already taken place and other big shows still on the horizon. Chance The Rapper and Dom Kennedy will headline the Trillecto Fest in August. Lil Wayne is slated to throw his inaugural Lil Weezyana Festival next month as well. Cam'ron, Curren$y and more will perform at Atlanta's AC3 Festival in October.
