El-P of Run The Jewels shared that the duo's forthcoming remix album, Meow the Jewels, will drop in September.

The LP is a remixed version of the duo's Run The Jewels 2 album that dropped last year. Meow the Jewels was funded through Kickstarter by fans and is being made solely for charity. El hopped on Twitter last night (July 23) to share more details about the cat-inspired project, confirming Massive Attack as another contributor to the upcoming album.

Meow The Jewels "is being made strictly to put money in hands of people in need," he tweeted. P also confirmed that one hundred percent of the profit from the record will go to charity. The album will be released for free, as well as a limited deluxe edition vinyl. Fans will have the opportunity to listen to the project via streaming services. So far we've heard a preview of the Alchemist-produced record "CREWON," another track titled "Angelmeowster" that is produced by Dan the Automator and "Meowrly," which is produced by Boots. Zola Jesus, Just Blaze, Baauer and Portishead's Geoff Barrow are also contributing to Meow the Jewels.
