DJ Mustard Is Dropping a Mixtape This Week
DJ Mustard claimed he would have the next ten summers on lock and is a man of his word. Mustard took to Instagram to announce the July 23 release date of 10 Summers The Mixtape Vol.1. The project is the follow up Mustard's 2014 album, 10 Summers, which featured Nipsey Hu$$le, Lil Wayne, YG, Boosie BadAZZ, Fabolous and more. There is no single in rotation for the project but Mustard has been linked to everyone from Britney Spears to Gunplay. Considering Mustard's propensity for making bangers on the street and mainstream level, expect 10 Summers The Mixtape Vol.1 to ring out in clubs and out of car trunks.
Speaking of Mustard's mainstream appeal, the talented producer got a major look last week when it was announced that he will join DJ Khaled and DJ Premier as an Executive Producer for the NBA 2K16 soundtrack. The soundtrack will feature "the most extensive soundtrack in NBA 2K history with three genre-defining collaborations at the helm." Khaled sounds particularly excited saying, "I am honored to collaborate with NBA 2K, which is such a distinguished brand and one of my favorite video games. Basketball and music are two of my favorite things, and I'm excited to light up the soundtrack with my signature sound. Expect the hottest tracks when you press the start button on NBA 2K16!
