Fat Trel has seemingly decided to double down on D.C. rap. The Washington rapper has dropped his latest mixtape, Georgetown, complete with a growling Hoya cover and Trel's signature barked delivery. The Maybach Music Group signee tapped his cohorts, Rick Ross and Wale, to contribute verses (which they do on "BRRRR"); the tape also sports turns from Troy Ave ("Funky Style"), Fetty Wap ("I Think I Love Her") and relative unknowns Boosa and J Beale ("I'm Ill" and "Dear Momma," respectively.) Rozay also appears alone on the Beat Billionaire-produced "Geetchi Liberachi." The sonic backdrops come courtesy of the Billionaire, Young Chop, 808 Mafia and upstarts like Dree Da Drummer--those suffering from mid-2000s nostalgia will be pleased to find a Cool & Dre beat tucked in there as well.

Georgetown is Trel's first effort since last year's Gleesh. He has been a notable figure in the rap world since the beginning of this decade, when his collaborations with Lex Luger began to gain traction in the DMV and on the blog circuit. (His 2012 mixtape Nightmare On E Street garnered him a serious cult following.) He announced his signing to Maybach Music Group in the latter half of 2013 and has since appeared on a litany of songs alongside the stars on that roster. Fat Trel recorded a video pitch to be included as a member of XXL's 2015 Freshman class, but fell just short of the required fan votes. Stream Georgetown in its entirety below, and be on the lookout for Trel's forthcoming studio debut.
