NFL player Asante Samuel has launched his own record label, Eighties Nation. While speaking with TMZthe 34-year old said he wanted to do something for his neighborhood, and "saw it as a way to help people get out of [the] hood and give them jobs and a way to stay out of jail."

Samuel has major plans for his new venture, taking cues from some of the best. "Jay Z, Cash Money, I study all of them and I look up to those people," says Asante.

As for his current roster, Samuel has TeeStunna and TeeJay from Ft. Lauderdale, and he's looking to sign former teammate and current defensive back for the Atlanta Falcons, Will Moore. "My guy Willy Mo. I would sign Will Moore when his playing days are over, if he's serious about it."
