Mary Mary’s Erica Campbell Made a Trap Gospel Record

Here's two things we never thought we'd see go together: Trap music and gospel music. The word of the Lord mixed with the word of the streets isn't something many would think to put together on wax but Mary Mary's Erica Campbell did just that. "I Luh God," a track from her Help 2.0 album, features Campbell doing a quick call and response asking if listeners "luh" God and if not then questioning "what's wrong with you?" With the trap-inspired beat, Campbell's choppy flow and Big Shizz doing his best OG Maco impression on the ad-libs, "I Luh God" may mark the full transition of trap as the "cool kid" music to jumping the shark. Then again, all she needs is a hot rapper to jump on the track and we could have a whole new "I Luh God" phenomenon. Check out the song and video above.
