Violence erupted at a charity basketball game in St. Louis on Sunday (May 31) night and Lil Wayne was in the middle of it all. According to a report from TMZ, Weezy was acting as coach for his Young Money team at, ironically, a "stop the violence" event when he got so enraged at the referee that he charged the man and spit on him. In the video above, Wayne is seen running across the court towards the ref while the official is moving quickly to the exit. Fortunately, no punches were thrown and while police were called to the scene, and no one was arrested.

Weezy has been at the center of a few violent events as of late. Prior to last evening's near fight, the superstar rapper's tour bus was shot at in Atlanta back in April. Last Friday (May 29), news broke that Young Thug may be tied to the shooting. TMZ reports that the suspect in custody is Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who has allegedly acted as Thugger's road manager in the past. Winfrey has been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity. Police say that Winfrey was looking to elevate his status as a blood by, "committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist."
