Lil Wayne wants his money and he needs it now. The Young Money chief has signed with Kobalt Neighbouring Rights to collect his global royalties, according to AllHipHopIf there was any thought that his feud with Birdman and Cash Money has dissipated, this latest move puts that to rest. Kobalt's other clients include Kid Cudi, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, Calvin Harris, Busta Rhymes, Noah “40” Shebib and DJ Premier, as well as over 8,000 artists and songwriters.

Kobalt’s powerful tracking system compares collection against detailed in-house expectations to ensure all income is correctly accounted. Kobalt develops these detailed expectations from 3rd party performance data, Territory expectations from Kobalt’s pre-distribution health check, as well as from the client’s income data. Combining these three data sources allows us to monitor collection and ensures all income is received.

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money, which he has since moved to New Orleans courts. The suit was brought against Baby for unpaid royalties and an advance on his Carter V album. Weezy previously stated that he would stay with the label if they pay $10 million for his work on his unreleased LP. Baby hasn't made any moves to pay up or even said a word publicly about the situation. Wayne has expressed his feelings very clearly on plenty of tracks off his last project Sorry 4 the Wait 2 and most recently in his verse on "M$" off of A$AP Rocky's new album At.Long.Last.A$AP.
