Lil Wayne's elusive Free Weezy Album has had multiple release dates already and the rapper now says the anticipated project is coming on Independence Day. After performing "Steady Mobbin" at the Hear Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California, Weezy stopped the music and said, "I got a new album coming out, it's called FWA. It's coming out Fourth of July, make some noise!" Tunechi then exited the stage as his latest single "Glory" rang out. With the release date just a few weeks away, we'll see if Weezy comes through on his statement. Based on his recent deal with Hov, don't be surprised if Free Weezy Album drops exclusively on Tidal.

Wayne first made the announcement that FWA was on the way in Feb. but since then fans have gotten nothing but false release dates and fake drop alerts. During a show in March, Wayne had the rap world abuzz once again when he claimed that the album was coming in April. Since then, Weezy hasn't made any proclamations about the album and has instead been caught up in his escalating--and violent--beef with Young Thug. Weezy's tumultuous year has been marked by beefs with Cash Money and Young Thug and the delay of his long awaited Carter V project. If Free Weezy Album does indeed drop on the Fourth of July, it may be his shining moment and return to the top of the rap world.
