Rumors of Lil Wayne hocking a loogie on a referee during at fit of rage at a recent "stop the violence" basketball game were greatly exaggerated. At least, according to Weezy. As previously reported, Wayne coached his Young Money squad during a charity hoops game in St. Louis on May 31. After repeated calls didn't go his team's way, Tune got so angry he charged the referee, allegedly spitting on him, causing a melee. Police were called to the scene but no arrests were made.

In a new clip, obtained by TMZ, Wayne runs up on the ref and tries to take his whistle right off his neck. The ref instinctively pushes the rapper away and that's when things get really tense with a fight nearly popping off. But according to the site's sources, the Cash Money (for now) rapper didn't spit on anyone. Keep in mind, this was a "stop the violence" event, which was attended by many youth, so any petty issues should have been handled with that in mind and not risen to the point of physical force being used.

Besides, Wayne has much bigger issues on hand. His Young Money artist, Flow, is currently facing two second-degree murder charges in connection with double homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of May 25 on New Orleans’ East Side.

More information is also coming out about his recent tour bus shooting in Atlanta. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who has been rumored to have ties with Young Thug as his road manager, surrendered himself to police Tuesday (June 2). Winfrey is facing charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity.
