Lil B Takes Us Through the Hood in “Soul Food” Video

With his name hitting the highest of mainstream levels thanks to his involvement in the 2015 NBA Playoffs, Lil B unleashes a new music video for "Soul Food." The no-frills video shows a reflective Lil B rapping to the camera about his upbringing and making it from nothing to something. From the steps; to the laundromat; to the block, the Based God takes us through his hood with a style and elegance that only Lil B can attain. Thank you Based God.

As mentioned earlier, Lil B has been one of the main storylines in the 2015 NBA Playoffs. During the Western Conference Finals between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors, the Oakland native placed a curse on the Rockets' James Harden for stealing the former Pack member's patented cooking dance. The rapper showed up in Golden State for Game 5 of the series and perhaps uncoincidentally, the Rockets and Harden played their last game of the season as they fell to the Warriors 104-90. The Warriors, who are led by MVP Steph Curry, will face the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. Lil B sent a warning to the Cavs but Cleveland guard Iman Shumpert quickly responded and saved the Cavs from the same fate as Kevin Durant and James Harden.
