received a lot of backlash

When Azalea was announced as the headliner for Pittsburgh Pride a few weeks ago, several people protested the decision and created petitions to have her removed from the lineup. Some groups even planned anti-Iggy events that were to take place while she performed. Others cancelled their scheduled performances for the event. Even Pittsburgh City Council President Bruce Kraus joined the anti-Iggy movement. The "Fancy" rapper has since deleted the tweets she received criticism for, but some are archived here.

Iggy Azalea's Great Escape tour was also recently cancelled. She states that a "creative change of heart" is the reason the tour was scrapped.
