Elyjah Marrow, 20-year-old grandson to the actor and legendary gangsta rapper Ice-T, has been indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges following the shooting death of his roommate, Daryus Johnson. According to The Daily Mail, Marrow was arrested in June of 2014 after allegedly shooting Johnson in the chest. By the time first responders arrived to the scene, Johnson was unconscious; he died shortly after. He was 19. Marrow was indicted by a Georgia grand jury earlier this month on charges of involuntary manslaughter, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of firearm during commission of a felony reckless conduct, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana more than an ounce. The stolen property charge comes due to the fact that the gun used in the shooting was allegedly stolen. Police believe Marrow was handling the gun when it accidentally discharged, killing Johnson.

Marrow, who is out on bond, is the son of Ice-T's oldest daughter, LeTesha. He appeared regularly on Ice Loves Coco, a reality show on E! that ran from 2011 through 2013. Though he is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Odafin Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a role he has held for more than 15 years, Ice-T was one of the most vital voices in the early years of West coast gangsta rap. His sophomore album, 1988's Power, is still cited as one of the sub-genre's most essential records. He also grabbed headlines in 1992 for his controversial metal song "Cop Killer."
