Gucci Mane and his team took to Instagram today (June 8) to reveal the cover art for Trapology, and to reveal that the tape would be out July 1. The Albert Einstein-nodding project is part of a five-album series Gucci announced earlier this year. This continues the Atlanta star's run as one of hte most prolific voices in hip-hop, even from behind bars. (For more Gucci Mane, check out his new advice column for XXL.)

One of the most influential rappers of the past decade, Gucci has been in prison since last year, when he pled guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The last decade and a half have seen the rapper embroiled in a series of legal disputes, most notably the 2005 killing of Pookie Loc, for which the murder charges against the rapper were dropped when he successfully claimed he shot Loc in self-defense. Gucci's music imprint, 1017 Records, has said that the rapper will be released from prison in March of 2017; earlier this year, Peewee Longway said that Guwop would be released "in a couple of months."
