Eminem is set to executive produce and write music for a new television series titled Narc. The series will be filmed in Em's hometown, Detroit, and is based off Joe Carnahan’s 2002 movie of the same title. Deadline reports that the 8 Mile MC is in negotiations to join the Paramount TV’s drama series as an executive producer and music supervisor plus is expected to write some original songs. Carnahan will also executive produced and direct the show plus has already written a pilot script for it. The plot of the series is similar to the movie, a cop going deep undercover to investigate a murder.

The new series is expected to be shopped to networks. Eminem is already the executive producer of the upcoming soundtrack for the film Southpaw, along with Shady Records. He released the new track titled “Phenomenal” two weeks ago, which is really great.  Southpaw is a upcoming 2015 American sports drama film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker, Rachel McAdams, 50 Cent and Rita Ora. The film hits theaters July 24.

There's more good news for the real Slim Shady. He already has two diamond-selling albums on his resumé (The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show). Now the rap legend can add two diamond-selling digital singles to his list of accomplishments. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Em with a diamond certification for the single “Not Afraid.” His other single that's Diamond is “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna. Eminem becomes the first artist to have two digital singles sell over 10 million copies.
