DeJ Loaf Gets Into Fight With Former Manager During BET Awards Soundcheck
Before Nicki Minaj praised DeJ Loaf after the Young Money Queen accepted her sixth straight BET Award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, DeJ got into a fight with her former manager. TMZ reports that during a BET soundcheck at rehearsal Saturday (June 27) at the Nokia Theatre, two of her former managers showed up unannounced. The managers—who are currently not named—came to the soundcheck trying to reconcile with the 2015 XXL Freshman. However, DeJ was not having it. The artist—who's nominated for three BET Awards—cut ties with the managers on bad terms just a week ago.
DeJ Loaf, her brother and her new management got into fight with the managers, leaving one with a cut forehead. The manager had to receive stitches in the hospital. A source familar with the situation told XXL that Dej loaf was not involved in the skirmish and when she walked the red carpet, she had no cuts bruises or anything indicating that she was the aggressor.
The manager that was sent the hospital is allegedly Detroit Charlie. Looking through Charlie's Instagram posts there seems to be some tension that has been brewing:
