Remember in Seinfeld (in "The Cadillac"), when George thinks he has a chance with Marisa Tomei? So he and Elaine concoct an alibi that will quell any suspicions George's fiancee might have? The cover story is that George is helping Elaine sort through a problem with her fictitious boyfriend, Art Vandelay, an importer-exporter who can't decide if he should focus on the importing or the exporting. The video for "Fun," Pitbull's collaboration with Chris Brown from his most recent album, Globalization, opens in much the same way. The clip follows a loose narrative where Brown informs Pitbull that the latter's new girlfriend is running imports and exports back and forth from Miami to Colombia. (Presumably, she's not dealing in latex.) What should be a campy crime tale mostly spins out of control into the kind of debaucherous party that the two superstars are known for. Dale, Pitbull's ninth album, is due July 17; it will be his second all-Spanish record.
