Hip-Hop Reacts to Freddie Gray’s Death Being Ruled a Homicide

Earlier today in a news conference, the state attorney of Maryland, Marilyn J. Mosby, announced she had filed a homicide, manslaughter and misconduct charges against Baltimore police officers in the death of Freddie Gray.
The news surrounding Freddie Gray’s death has severely affected the community of Baltimore. While previous reports on the death of Gray were questionable, state attorney Mosby insisted this morning that the abusive treatment from the police was uncalled for and should be punished. After the unexpected announcement this morning, the hip-hop community was quick to respond to the charges the state attorney placed on the six Baltimore officers. With many hip-hop acts being vocal throughput the death of Freddie Gray, we collected some of the reactions thus far from today’s announcement.
