tech n9ne special effects review

With 66,000 units of his Special Effects album sold, Tech N9ne comes in at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart* for the third time in five years. In 2011, Tech's All 6's & 7's album debuted at No. 4, and in 2013 his Something Else project also came in at No. 4 on the chart. The 66,000 sold are the most first week sales he has amassed over the span of his impressive career. As an independent artist the number is incredibly impressive--and lucrative.

Elsewhere on the chart, the Furious 7 soundtrack continues to do major numbers and remains in the top ten with another 46,000 units sold. The high sales are due large in part to Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" cut from the soundtrack that remains at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Khalifa's days at No. 1 may soon be numbered as Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" continues it's meteoric climb up the charts and now sits pretty at No. 2.
