After rumors that Beyonce's catalog would be pulled from Tidal's streaming service hit the 'Net, Sony execs have released a statement refuting those claims. Earlier today, Sony Music CEO Doug Morris addressed the matter and denied any plans to snag Queen B's music from her husband's newly acquired business venture. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Morris said, "Jay Z is a friend and business associate for many years. I have always admired his business acumen, his entrepreneurship and his passion for music. All of our content, including Beyoncé, is available through the Tidal service, and we have announced no plans to remove our catalog from Tidal. Like all of our other partners, we are rooting for Jay and Tidal to succeed."

So it appears the scathing report by Bloomberg Business (titled “That’s Business, Man: Why Jay Z’s Tidal Is a Complete Disaster”) that alleges if Tidal can’t come up with large sums of money to pay labels they might revoke their right to stream music could be much ado about nothing.

In the last few weeks, Tidal has provided exclusive content such as Hov's B-Sides concert and Nicki Minaj's "Feeling Myself" video. Don't expect the hate to subside anytime soon, Tidal still has its fair share of naysayers. But time will tell.
