Vince Desrosiers, the head brewer at Dock Street in West Philly, is taking his infatuation with the Wu-Tang Clan to the next level. For the next six months, a steady stream of Wu-Tang Clan will be playing next to a barrel of the brewery's new concoction that will eventually be called Ain't Nuthin' to Funk With. "I listen to music every day in the brewery and I've wanted to do a series of beers based on the music I like," Desrosiers told Philly Mag. "It's hardly an original thought but my musical taste is all over the place and Wu-Tang seemed like a great place to start...Who knows. Maybe we can get the ODB hologram to perform for the release party"

Once Ain't Nuthin to Funk With comes out later this year, Dock Street plans on doing a similar process for a Run The Jewels-inspired beer. While the act does seem gimmicky, Derosiers is curious if playing music next to the beer during its fermentation phase will have an impact on the taste. "It started as a joke and then we wondered if the bass would cause enough vibration to move the yeast around and create some different flavors during fermentation."
