The Game has been, at various times throughout his decade-long career, been in the news for unsavory things. But the radio station melees, the punched police officers, the angry Instagram fights all fade away with humanitarian acts like the one documented on his Instagram today (May 7). At a gas station in Atlanta, the Compton rapper met a man named Donald who said he was fresh out of jail. The Game gave Donald--who was tremendously appreciative, as can be seen in each of the two video clips that were posted--$1,000 for himself and to take care of his mom on Mother's Day. Donald was headed to New Orleans, where he's from, and Game promised him that if things don't work out, a job is waiting for him back in Los Angeles.

Game's sixth solo album, The Documentary 2, is slated for a June 30 release. The name hearkens back to his solo debut, which was released on Aftermath and featured a who's-who of the industry's biggest producers at the time. Prior to its release, Game was welcomed into the G-Unit fold; shortly after its release, he woudl be excommunicated from the group and engage the Unit in a long-running beef that featured the opus-like diss track "300 Bars and Running."
