It's been two years since French Montana dropped his debut album Excuse My French. Spearheaded by the hit single "Pop That," the album was a while in the making. Now it's time for part deux. The Bad Boy MC recently sat down for an interview with Billboard and revealed his sophomore LP will hits shelves this summer, more specifically in August. "I don’t have the exact date. Probably the end of August," he said. "The mixtape is the appetizer, the album is the meal. I’ve been working on it [for] so long, but I saved the best for the album."

Last December, the he put out his Mac & Cheese 4: The Appetizer mixtape which is too serve as a prelude to his sophomore LP, Mac & Cheese: The Album. He followed that up with the most recent release, Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend.

Unlike the feature heavy Excuse My French, the South Bronx rapper plans to keep the head count low this time around. "I got Miguel on there… Kanye West. The album I'm trying to keep mostly for me, just a couple of features," he added.

One of the features on his last album was incarcerated Harlem MC Max B who appeared on the intro "Once In A While." The rapper was sentenced to 75 years in prison on murder conspiracy and robbery charges in 2009. Montana offered an update on his situation and says the wavy rapper is still holding out hope for freedom. "He's still fighting for his appeal," said French. "It's a sad situation but, you know, all you can do is fight."
